On 1 August 2026, we celebrated our 55th anniversary. We look back on more than five decades shaped by pioneering spirit, craftsmanship and entrepreneurial foresight. Since our foundation in 1971, our small welding workshop has grown into a modern, high-performance company known today for quality, reliability and innovative strength.
Johann Häuslschmid founded our company as a sole proprietorship in 1971. We initially started as a welding business and soon began to expand. Equipment and vehicle construction, the manufacture of car trailers and a tyre service were added shortly afterwards. Special-purpose machine engineering also quickly became an established part of our operations and laid the foundation for our current direction.
A particular milestone in our history came in the 1980s with the manufacture of support snakes on specially designed machines for Eisen Uth. We were therefore among the first manufacturers in Germany to develop this field further from both a technical and an economic perspective. In 1990, we took over Eisen Uth in full and subsequently sold the products under our own Häuslschmid brand.
The construction of a new production plant at our headquarters in Mayerhofen in 1995 provided further impetus for our growth. Another important step followed in 2005 with the Aaron DBV U-Schlangen, which sustainably expanded our product portfolio and strengthened our market position. Since 2014, the next generation has successfully continued to lead our company and has consistently driven the modernisation of our processes. Since then, our focus has been on internationalisation, as clearly demonstrated by our current export share of 83%.
We continue to move forward in our anniversary year. Stefan Reiter has now taken up his position as our new technical manager. This marks another sign of continuity and continued development. Reiter is taking on his responsible role at a time when we are noticeably modernising and further developing our technical and organisational processes.
A new production line, ongoing digitalisation from administration through to production and the targeted use of AI-powered tools are shaping our current transformation. These measures are making our processes even more efficient, transparent and fit for the future. We are clearly demonstrating that stagnation is not an option for us. Everything is in motion, everything is evolving and everything is geared towards successfully guiding our company into the future.
With more than 55 years of experience, in-house machine development and high quality standards, we remain a reliable partner for proven solutions in reinforced concrete construction. We combine tradition with progress and will continue to focus on innovation, quality and reliability.
